This ultrafast laser laboratory houses instrumentation designed to to provide sub-diffraction limited images with femtosecond resolution. This novel "Optical Resonance Imaging" approach was developed within the Engel Group and should enable new studies of photosynthetic membranes and semiconducting systems.
